With 20 committed small and medium-sized enterprises participating — including Mausbrand as host — the group aims to strengthen regional expertise and reduce reliance on proprietary platforms in municipal IT through open source solutions.

We are committed to driving the development of open, collaborative infrastructures. The focus lies on practical solutions, strategic collaboration, and a position paper that was jointly adopted by a broad group of participants.

The response has been strong — now it’s time to put ideas into action.

This year, our annual Mausbrand retreat took us to Belgium.

In a beautifully renovated cottage, we organized a wide range of self-directed learning sessions, strategic discussions, and political context analyses.

Our coding track covered topics like Vue.js, FastAPI, and Pydantic. We also explored AI experiments and shared hands-on experiences. Practical topics such as Asana tips and tricks, Fluidpages, core release planning and vision, Streamlit, and iPython found their way into the agenda as well.

Evenings were spent in good company—with a quiz night, a movie night, and a wellness evening—rounding off the trip with shared routines, spontaneous conversations, and a vibrant team spirit.

Ab jetzt bis zum Winter programmieren wir wieder mit der Energie direkt vom Dach! Besonders tagsüber ist es großartig, wenn der Arbeitsplatz eine Solaranlage hat – der erhöhte Stromverbrauch fällt genau in die Zeit, in der die Sonne scheint und unsere Module mit sauberer Energie versorgt. Nachhaltigkeit trifft auf Effizienz – so macht Arbeiten doppelt Freude!

Es ist wieder Zeit für Weihnachtsgebäck in allen Formen und Farben! Und das gibt's bei uns natürlich im echten mausbrand Style. Während wir uns also die Bäuche vollschlagen, schauen wir zurück auf ein stressiges, aber erfolgreiches Jahr 2023. Mit vielen Portierungen, neuen Frameworks und sogar einigen Mini-Games haben wir dieses Jahr unsere Späße gehabt und einige Herausforderungen gemeistert. Nach dem nun fünften Blech Vanille Kipferl begeben wir uns dann vom einschließlich 22.12.23 bis einschließlich 05.01.23 in unseren wohlverdiente Winterschlaf (Betriebsferien). 

Wir wünschen all unseren Kund*innen und natürlich auch all unseren Mausbränder*innen ein frohes Fest und einen Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr!

Gefühlt war es erst gestern, als wir im Technologie-Zentrum in Schwerte die ersten Webseiten für unsere Kunden gebaut haben. Zehn Jahre sind seit dem vergangen. Inzwischen betreuen wir mit knapp zwei Dutzend Mitarbeiter*innen Mittelstands-Unternehmen aus ganz Deutschland und darüber hinaus. Wir blicken stolz zurück, aber auch nach vorn: Auf die nächsten 10 Jahre — Prost!

Wir haben unsere Büroräume im Projektspeicher – ein Kreativort im Dortmunder Hafen. Dort gibt es viel Raum für Kunst, Kultur und Begegnung. Nun steht das Programm für die zweite Jahreshälfte fest. Neben dem bekannten Hafenspaziergang gibt es noch einige Ausstellungen, die besucht werden können.
